10 pieces of advice on how to live happily

One of the best gifts I ever received was a book on living with depression and anxiety. I’d had a really tough year and had lost my focus and drive, when my friend gifted me Matt Haig’s ‘Reasons To Stay Alive’ for my birthday. I was sceptical at first, but this isn’t your run of the mill self help guide. It felt like someone had written about what I had experienced and what I was feeling. I would find myself underlining paragraphs, adding my own notes, putting asterisks’ on every page and crying at the parts that hit home the most. It’s become a sort of Bible for me now and I always reference it when I’m feeling down.

I wanted to share some of my favourite pieces of advice with you, which I think we all need every now and again.
