Remember in primary school when you were learning about syllables and the teachers made you make terrible Haikus in order to understand it? Remember how you still couldn’t grasp the concept and now you were even more freaked out because you had to try and make a pretentious poem aswell? Yeah, me too.
Recently I’ve been making a lot of them in order to nudge my brain into being active and let me tell you they are amazingly fun to do.
If you’re not in the know, a haiku is a form of Japanese poetry. In English, they are very short poems written in lines of three. The top and bottom lines consist of 5 syllables and the middle line has 7. Here are some crappy ones I made earlier.
